Duo Exhibition with Hailey Weber - June 6-8th
Blind Sight
Blind Sight is a duo exhibition featuring the creative voices of Rowen Dinsmore and Hailey Weber. Through their unique perspectives and artistic practices, they explore themes of identity, relationships, self-reflection, and aging. The concept of “blind sight,” is traditionally understood as the phenomenon where the brain can understand visual stimulus although they cannot see it. This condition serves as a powerful metaphor for the exhibition as both artists, through their shared experiences as young women, have developed their own unseen ways of navigating the ever changing world around them. Their paintings invite viewers to observe their “blind sights,” and to consider how they adapt and move forward through the turbulence and unseen parts of their own lived experiences. This exhibition encourages a deeper engagement with the ways we prevail through adversity and find clarity amidst the complexities of life.
